summer flowers

every year
summer flowers bloom every year
they eventually fade away

yet they still appear once a year
aware of their fate

reappearing
to eventually disappear

why do summer flowers appear
every year,

to only disappear?

perhaps it is so
crimson roses
may bathe in gold,
and marigolds
may dance in crimson heat

perhaps it is so crimson roses and marigolds may live

before death

before the cold breath of winter
blow them away
and the summer flowers disappear

perhaps it is so they may live
a summer life to the fullest

unsure if they will reappear once they disappear

from the summer life
